KC loves yoga and in particular sun salutations. This is a powerful pose in the sun salutation sequence that gives an upper-body strength and offers a wonderful stretch to the abdomen and chest. It is important to get that pose right to prevent injury so do not rest your whole weight on the wrists ,press through the hands to create length and the sensation of a lift to prevent neck pain.

Is noise related to weight gain?

Studies have shown a relationship between living in a noisy area and weight gain.

As construction or car sounds irritate you ,cortisol (stress hormone) level rises in your blood stream increasing fat in your body thus lowering your muscle mass leading to weight gain.

In addition to that a disrupted sleeping cycle has the same effect on your body so those two factors will affect your weight and fat status.

Nicoise salad

Nicoise salad is a very nutritious salad and a complete meal on its own as it contains potatoes as a source of carbohydrates,tuna as proteins and veggies such as green beans and lettuce along with tomatoes and olives as a good fat source.

ingredients:

lettuce

green beans

olives

tuna filets

potatoes

boiled baby corn

Mix all ingredients and you are good to go, easy recipe with a vinaigrette or lemon dressing.
