Quinoa salad at Paul JBR

As I was in JBR ,I passed by Paul for a quick lunch. I was surprised to see that particular power salad  because it contains barley,quinoa,peas,red pepper,tomatoes,radish and pumpkin. It is a full load of vitamins and minerals. I omitted the dressing and added olive oil and balsamic vinegar because I find creamy dressings heavy to digest.

Frenchie bites

When you have guests over for diner ,there is nothing better than tasty appetizers. I chose French ingredients such as ham and brie for my Frenchie bites.

Ingredients:

Sliced walnut bread

organic butter

organic ham

organic Honey

Brie

Tomatoes

Dried thyme

Ham bites:

Spread butter on walnut bread and add ham slices along with a tomato slice on top. Sprinkle dried thyme to add flavor.

Brie bites:

Place Brie slices on walnut bread and add some honey on top.

You can also put a stick in the middle of each bite to avoid ingredients from falling apart.

Goat cheese salad at Eggspectation

I know that it sounds weird to have a goat cheese salad at EGGspectation. not a big fan of eggs and I happened to be there for lunch so I was happy to find a lot of salads available. It was a pleasure to see that the menu Is adapted to each and everyone’s food preference.

That salad was exactly as I expected , I also had with it sweet potato fries which is one of my favorite sides.

Are all fish created equal?

Fish is primarily a good source of proteins,iodine and is low in fat. Industrial fish contain additives.Surimi or crab sticks are very popular in our sandwiches and salads they contain mostly fish not crab meat along with additives . When it comes to fish content branding plays a role, the more the product is expensive the more it contains a high percentage of fish which can go up to 50 percent.

Is it healthy to consume surimi? the first thing to do is to look at the ingredients list of your surimi pack to make sure the first ingredient is fish not water.

Canned tuna contains heavy metals such as mercury which can have adverse side effects if consumed frequently.Scallops are very healthy however suppliers inject them with water to increase their price. you notice that while cooking it as it shrinks tremendously. Sushi are a healthy option if prepared hygienically. Cod and salmon are also a good choice for you as they have less heavy metals than other fish.
