Feuillete au seigle

Feuillete au seigle is a french pastry made of rye flour, which unfortunately does not make it low in fat compared to a regular croissant or pastry.Rye has more fibers than white flour which makes it less likely to spike insulin levels however it is still very high in fat because of its butter content.

It cought my mind as I was passing by a ‘Boulangerie’ as I was wondering why they do not prepare whole grain croissants or pain au chocolat.

It is quite heavy so I advise you to eat half of it.
