Buckwheat improves your health by lowering cholesterol and blood pressure levels,it contains disease fighting antioxidants and is also high in protein. Its fiber content helps improve digestion and prevent diabetes. It does not contain gluten and has a lot of vitamins and minerals such as manganese,magnesium,phosphorous,niacin,zinc,iron,vitamin B6 and folate.

I had those pancakes at Comptoir 102 in Jumeirah beach road,Dubai.It is a good choice for a heart healthy breakfast as they keep you full for the coming hours after breakfast.

fromage blanc health benefits

Fromage blanc is similar in texture to sour cream and has a smooth consistency like yogurt. It is made with milk and a culture and often known as formage frais which means  ‘fresh cheese’

It is usually served with fruits,honey or sugar and can be a healthy substitution to cream and butter in recipes due to its creamy texture low in fat (from 0 to 40% fat depending on the brand).

Thai coconut tapioca pudding

Tapioca is a starch made from the root of the cassava plant.It is mostly found in the form of granules, flakes and powders.Naturally low in fat and high in carbohydrates, tapioca can be used  to thicken sauces and soups.

It is a good source of folate and iron and is mostly found in Thai deserts such as the one shown in the picture which is made with coconut milk, sesame seeds and lotus flower.

Cassava root can be deadly if improperly cooked so it is best to buy it already prepared rather than raw.
