Meghle recipe by Skinnykc
Ingredients: serves 4-6
4 cups water
1 tbsp caraway powder
1tsp organic cinnamon
1 tsp fennel powder
2 tbsp fennel grains
1 extra cup water
3/4 cup organic cane sugar
1/2 cup organic whole grain rice powder
Toppings:
organic walnuts soaked in water
organic shredded coconut
organic soaked pines pines
Optional:You can also soak organic almonds and pistachios.
Start by boiling the extra cup of water with fennel grains.
Mix the 4 cups of water (room temperature) with the rice flour,sugar,caraway,cinnamon and fennel powder,after mixing thoroughly put the pot on stove and add the cup of water strained from the fennel grains.
Stir constantly until it starts boiling. When the mixture reaches boiling point you still have to wait 30 minutes to one hour for it to be ready.
You can test if it is done by getting one tbsp of meghle on a plate ,let it cool ,it should not run when you tilt the plate.
Pour the mixture into serving cups or bowls and wait for the Meghle to cool, then put it in the fridge.
