That particular breakfast that was on the menu of the day tempted me by its name , I imagined a pure taste of quality chocolate. I was disappointed by the berries that were all over the place masking the chocolate flavor. Too much flavors in a plate to the point where your taste buds are lost.There was : Banana ice cream, a donut, berries sprinkled everywhere ,chocolate sauce,mint leaves,biscuit and an unknown flavor that i was not able to determine.

I would prefer it much simpler with a donut and chocolate sauce with just the banana ice cream on top.

What is BMI?

BMI stand for Body mass index which is a scientific measurement to determine if you are normal , overweight or obese.

BMI= Weight in Kilograms/(Height in meter)2

<18.5 Underweight

18.5<Normal <25

25<Overweight<30

>30 Obese

BMI is not a good indicator for body composition goven the fact that two individuals can have the same BMI and be considered overweight even if one of them is an athlete with an increased muscular mass and the other has extra fat mass. The best indicator of body analysis is the Bio impedance scale which gives you a detailed analysis of fat, muscles, body water,waist to hip ration and  resting energy expenditure.

Homemade hummus

Ingredients:

Hummus grains

tahini paste

lemon juice

cumin

water

salt

2 tbsps olive oil

Soak 2 cups of hummus grains overnight and boil for 1h with double quantity of water.

Blend 1/4 cup tahini paste with 1/4 cup lemon juice and olive oil.

Mix the cooked hummus grains with their skin off and the tahini mix. Add water, salt and cumin.

You can chose the texture that you like by adding additional water if you like it more liquid.

Enjoy your watermelon in hot weather or during tanning season. it has a lot of vitamins and minerals,you can also juice it and have it as a snack during the day. Keep sliced watermelon in the fridge so you can have them at hand in case you are having afternoon cravings.

Many people tend to avoid visiting a dietitian for a diet meal plan and prefer to rely on books or on the net, sometimes the results are quite good but most of the time the weight piles back.

A dietitian is trained to properly make you lose weight and is also equipped with the latest technologies in body impedance scale to measure your fat content which will insure a proper fat loss with an increased muscle mass. Fitness coaches give meal plans while training clients ,they are most of the time not eligible to do that unless they are dietitians or nutritionists at the sme time so make sure your coach has a certificate before engaging in whatever supplement or high protein diet they might prescribe. Fat burners are a big no no beware of prescriptions involving unregulated supplements that promise dream bodies.

positive thinking

One of the key success factors to weight loss and healthy living is positive thinking, what i mean by positive thinking is always surround yourself with supportive and encouraging people that will give you good vibes. Clear you mind from black and white thoughts especially when it comes to cravings, a piece of cake does not mean that you messed up or failed and you can go on eating the whole cookie jar. You should learn to differentiate between poisonous thoughts that usually comes from a critical inner voice  and reality. Indulging is perfectly fine as long as it is satisfying ,no need to go overboard.
