This colorful and artsy picture was taken while having dinner at our friends’ house.Those amazing heart healthy salads full of antioxidants,vitamins,minerals and fibers were served as appetizers.

I could not get enough of them as I was having a garden in a plate!

Gatherings should not solely revolve around fatty foods,you can offer healthy food  by adding a twist to impress your guests (here it was edible flowers).

Chose your ingredients wisely and stay away from canned veggies,opt for a non creamy dressing and pick herbs instead for flavor.

Healthy Lunch boxes ideas

Lunch boxes are one of the easiest thing to prepare.

Eating light at lunch breaks keeps you energetic. It is recommended to stay away from fried,heavy and starchy meals.

Here are some useful tips that will help you plan ahead healthy lunch boxes.

Colored veggies (red,yellow,green peppers,kale,zucchini,tomatoes,carrots,spinach..) or soups

Lean proteins (chicken breast,escalopes,Fish and meat filet)

Whole grain carbohydrates:(Brown rice,whole wheat pasta,whole wheat bread,chickpeas,quinoa,buckwheat,lentils,beans)

Healthy fats (1 tbsp of olive oil,10 nuts,1 to 2 tablespoons of seeds,10 olives,1 tbsp of coconut oil)

A nutritious food combination at lunch time will keep you alert at work.

This cheese cake is one of the best desert I have ever had , it is one of the signature deserts at The Hotel Costes and is the perfect thing to end your meal with.
